Hayley Miller MD

PHYSICIAN, MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Hayley Miller grew up in Buffalo Wyoming and received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences from the University of Wyoming. After garnering her M.D. from University of Washington School of Medicine, she completed two years of Internal Medicine residency in La Crosse Wisconsin & accepted a fast-track fellowship position in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. During her training, Hayley participated in many aspects of research, but her true passion has always been patient care. She has given a number of talks to both patients & providers about healthcare innovation, optimizing diabetes management, insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring, insulin intensification and weight management. A self-proclaimed “diabetes nerd,”  Hayley’s professional interests stem from her own experience with type 1 diabetes, diagnosed at age 10.  In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, performing arts, & most outdoor activities with her husband and two children.

LUZ ROANT M. RODRIGO RN

NURSE, VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
Mountain States Diabetes is thrilled to welcome Luz – the newest team member of our team! Luz is a registered nurse and certified virtual assistant who is committed to providing the highest quality of care. After working 4 years in the hospital in the medical, surgical, and pediatric wards, she transitioned to virtual care to allow her to spend more time with her family. A fierce advocate for her patients’ best interests, she collaborates with patients and Hayley Miller to promote optimal health outcomes and ensure that everyone understands the plan of care. As the virtual assistant and nurse for Mountain States Diabetes, Luz has her hands full!  In addition to responding to messages, answering/returning calls, and coordinating referrals, she triages medical concerns, facilitates medication refills, and works with our patients for intake before each appointment.  Luz is inspired daily by her loving parents, siblings, and grandfather. When not working, she finds herself reading, watching movies, and traveling.

Veniper "Maro" Realon-Pamplona RN

NURSE, VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
A dedicated and empathic RN, she is also a certified healthcare virtual assistant. She worked for 12 years in the hospital,  predominantly in the emergency setting. She is now ready to transition from the busy ER life to her virtual role at Mountain States Diabetes, which allows her to spend more time with her family & dogs. She works hand-in-hand with Dr. Miller and Luz for the wellness of patients to ensure that we can meet most medical needs expediently. Maro has first-hand experience with diabetes and thyroid disorders with. multiple members of her family affected by diabetes (both Type 1 and Type 2) and thyroid disease. As a result, Maro prioritizes the needs of our patients and their families. When she is off from work she  enjoys hanging out, watching movies and chatting with family and friends.
